Format
The "Heart Check Program" increases awareness so employees
are motiviated to take better care of their hearts. It includes
a test for total cholesterol (via fingerstick method). One of
our health care professionals also is available, for an additional
fee, to run an education station. This may include blood pressure
screenings, resting heart rate or information regarding their
test results. This program is conducted as the "Beat the
Odds" program in conjunction with the American Heart Association
in Los Angeles County.
